Masterclasses
Debbie teaches her specialist sugarcraft skills during Masterclasses in her studio in West London/Surrey (10 minutes from London Heathrow Airport) and around the world, encouraging beginners and perfecting the abilities of advanced students. Each workshop is tailored for every skill level as the subject is taught step by step. Debbie teaches the class herself, usually in an informal relaxed atmosphere with lots of attention and patience.  The 2013 list of international visits is directly below and scroll down to the bottom of this page for information about current upcoming classes here in Surrey, UK.

Private Tuition
If you prefer to book private tuition then this can be arranged on a mutually convenient date. All requirements will be supplied except for lunch, 10am to 4pm, £750 per day. You may share this day with one friend for no extra cost.

Scheduled Masterclasses in West London/Surrey UK

These Masterclasses have a maximum of 8 students and are held in Debbie’s studio in an informal relaxed setting. Debbie even bakes her popular chocolate chunk shortbread especially as a treat for students attending the day.

There are basic requirements to bring with you for each class. If the class is a cake sculpture then a cake is required or a cake dummy can be used, the buttercream or similar filling if using cake. Sugarpaste (rolled fondant) in the quantity required for the class and a board and suitable box. You also need to bring along your own lunch. All other equipment and requirements are supplied. If you’re attending from overseas then Debbie can arrange the requirements for you with advanced notice.

Learn how to sculpt this pretty underwater rock effect scene complete with fish and coral.  Learn how to model the enchanting mermaids with their twisted fondant hair.

Star Castle £180
 
 
Make this beautiful castle in the sky complete with little waving princess at the window.  Learn how to balance and build up cake tiers supporting them properly.  Bring your own cakes or use styrofoam cake dummies so you can keep your castle for future reference or use as a cake top.

Learn how to sculpt from cake this beetle car, learning how to shape and layer and cover successfully, marking the details correctly.  The perfect cake for anyone with a great sense of humour.

Kittens £180
 
 
Learn how to sculpt these three kittens gaining their realistic fur effect and cute pose and expression.  Use cake, rice marshmallow treat for edibles or substitute with styrofoam if you prefer to keep your kittens for future reference or use as a cake top.

The Flintstones
 
Students will learn how to make this rock style house cake sculpture and model all the world famous Flintstone characters, capturing their likenesses and creating a masterpiece that can be kept for reference if using styrofoam or cake for an extra special event.

Midnight Fairies £180
 
 
Learn how to make this gorgeous midnight toadstool cake complete with little modelled fairies.  I'll show you how to adapt this scene into a Christmas theme if you wish.
